YAY!! SCHOOLS OUT!! it has been about a week since its been the last day of school. Every summer me and my sister would always go to San Francisco, California to see our family. were usually in Caifornia for about two months. when were there we would sometimes see my sisters family in Sacremento. since my uncle died there is this this celebration to do when someone dies and its called a nine day prayer where the whole family gets together and pray for the person that died. since im not gonna go to California for another two weeks im stuck here in Texas. what were going to do in San Fracisco is go to Sacremento, go shopping, hang out with my cousins, have sleepovers with my cousins, watch scary movies with my cousins, visit some family where we used to live, go to two weddings, go to the Fishermans Wharf with my cousin, sister, and dad, go to the Pier with my cousin, and most of all enjoy the rest of my summer. since im going to be in Texas for another week or so im going to have sleepovers with my friends and party with my friends. we were supposed to go to New York in a week but my mom changed her mind about going, but since we cant go to New York were going to go on a cruise in the middle of the school year like we did last time in fourth grade. when i come back from California me and my family are going to Six Flags with my BFFS Anita and Makayla. when summer of twenty twelve is over im going to be soo happy and soo sad because i get to see my friends and because i am starting a new chapter in my life which is going to middle school. i hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer as i will.
Moms Graduation day
last weekend on Saturday my mom graduatedfrom St.Edwards University. On Thursday night a whole bunch of family came to see my moms graduation. On Friday after school me and my sister spent time with my two aunts and my soon to be uncle. When we got home from school we ate a little snack,then we all went on a little walk to the community pool and back to the house. when we finally got back home we got in the car and went to go eat Rudy’s. Rudy’s was really good,everyone enjoyed the food.
since my mom wanted to go get her nails done we all went to the Barton Creek mall.once we all got there we split up and went to different stores. while we were waiting for my mom, and my two aunties we went to go get icecream. I got Rocky Road icecream in a waffle cone,my favorite icecream is Rocky Road.A couple hours later my mom was finally done getting her nails done. by 10:00 a’clock we got home.when we got home a played a game with my aunt and her boyfriend. the game we played was called Bannana Grams. what we were supposed to do was grab twenty-one letters and make words with them and they have to be intersecting. everytime someone would make words out of all the letters that person would say “peel!”and when they would say that every player would have to get another letter until all the letters are gone. when all the letters are gone and someone says peel that is the winner. and the last person to say peel was me, when my aunt found out that i won she started talking about how no one ever beat her. after one round of bannana grams it was time for me and my sister to go to sleep because my moms graduation was in the morning so we have to wakeup really early.
the next day was my moms graduation day. evryone was so excited,even my mom. when we all got in the car we left to go to the Franklin Erwin Center.when we got there we dropped my mom off in front of the building. since they wouldnt le3t us in by ten me,my dad,my brother, and my sister went to get breakfast. when we finished eating we went to go see the graduation.when we got inside it was really huge and really crowded. while peoplke were saying there speeches i took a nap on my big brothers shoulder. it was so cold that i had no sweater so i had to use my purse as a blanket.when they finally started anouncing the names of the graduates i woke up. when they anounced my moms name we all stood up and clapped for her. after she was done we went to Maudies we went home and took a very long nap. after the nap we went to the pool to go cool off and have fun.while the girls were swimmimng the boys were playing basketball. after a couple hours we went home and went to sleep.

Chapter 1
First day of school
Wake up Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don’t want to be late for your first day of school!! I woke up got dressed and eat breakfast. While we were driving to school I was wondering who would be in my class. I thought it would be my friends from last year.
When we got to school I was so happy and anxious to see my friends and to see who was in my class. When I walked in there was so many people in the school building. When I finally got to my class I saw some of my friends. I thought there was going to be any of my best friends in my class and there was, her name was Shelby. When I saw her I hugged her and she hugged me back.
When everyone was there Mrs. Bender told us that today was going to be a very busy day because we need to get ready and get all of our supplies. When Mrs. Bender was calling out our names she said “Anita?” no one answered so she said it again, so Mrs. Bender said she was absent. I was wondering if she was going to show sometime today.
On the first day of school we did some activities to learn about each other and learn each other’s names. For the learning our names we passed a ball to someone and before we passed the ball to someone we had to say their name. For the learning about each other’s activities we got a sheet of paper that has little squares asking things like who lives in a neighborhood named after any flower.
At the end of the day Mrs. Bender said that we have homework and everyone said “AHHHH!!!! We never get homework on the first day of school” Mrs. Bender said “well guys that’s what happens when you’re in fifth grade” I asked her what was for homework” she said “ you guys just need to read for thirty minutes every day to equal one hundred and fifty minutes.
That night I went home and my mom asked me how was school and I told her “ it was really fun and I couldn’t wait for tomorrow” before I went to sleep I brushed my teeth, took a shower, got dressed and got in bed with my dog Hyden.
Ring, Ring, Ring!! My alarm went off. I turned my alarm off and got dressed. When my dad took me to the bus stop I saw some of my friends and some new people. When we got to school I walked to class and got ready. I looked to see if the girl Anita was here but she wasn’t, I was really sad because I wanted to meet her and be her first friend at this school.
A couple minutes later the BCE broadcast was on. After the broadcast it was time to go to specials, it was music. For music we just watched movies because Mr. Davis didn’t know what to start on. The movies we watched was about musical instruments and the musical instruments played songs.
At language arts we were learning about what we do with our homework. Day by day we got more homework and more homework. At math we got one workbook page to do and science we don’t have any homework except for reports and projects.
Chapter 2
New Student
A couple of weeks later the girl Anita finally came to school. When I saw her come in I wanted her to sit by me in class and she did. I asked why she wasn’t here for the last couple of weeks and she said that she was in India with her grandparents because they were very sick.
When it was lunch time I told her that she could sit with me and my friends at lunch time and she said ok. When I went home I told my mom that we finally got our new student that we were supposed to come to school on the first day of school.
Day after day I learned stuff about her by talking to her. She told me that she was Indian and that she lives with her one sister and her parents, she also told me that she loves art and I told her that I love art very much to. I told her that we are going to be best friends. By hanging out with her at school we became very good friends…. Like Best Friends Forever. I told my mom about her and she told me that Indians are very close to Philipinos.
Chapter 3
The science fair
About around the middle of the year it was time for the science fair. For my project I did “what brand of gum can blow the biggest bubble?” when I got all my materials I started on my project. My project was really fun, I picked out like six gums to blow a bubble with. When you would get to the third brand of gum you would feel really sick because the gum was getting disgusting. Out of all the bubbles blown by all of my participants I blew the smallest bubbles out of everyone. When I finished I was so happy. I brought my science project the next day for presentations. I was so nervous about the presentations in front of the judges. When it was time for me to present my science project I started shaking, so I took a deep breath and walked inside. When I walked in I was very calm and did not panic. After I started talking I thought it was really fun presenting.
After lunch time the judges decided on who was going to get a ribbon. At lunch I kept thinking about if I was going to get a ribbon. When it was time to announce the winners of the science fair I was really nervous because I didn’t think I was going to be one of the winners. When Mr. Alonzo announced the winners I was so sad that I wasn’t picked and that I didn’t do so well. When it was time to leave I was about to cry because I they didn’t like me.
After Mr. Alonzo graded our science notebooks with our drafts of our science project, we got it back. When I looked at my grade he gave me like a ninety seven. Ii thought I deserved a one hundred but I remembered that I spelled some words wrong so that’s why he gave me that grade.
When it was the end of the day I went home sad. I told my mom why I was really sad and she said “It’s ok honey” and I said “it’s not ok, it’s terrible…. It’s a really big grade on my report.”I was really mad when my sister was one of the winners.
Chapter 4
Having fun with my friend
When it was February eleventh it was my birthday. A week before my birthday I passed out invitations for my birthday party at the movie theater. I invited my friends Anita, and Madison. When it was time for the party me, my sister, and my mom went to the movie theater. When I got there the first person I saw was my friend Anita. After everyone got there we went to go eat Which Which, it was really good. When Anita told me that she got me an expensive present I said “why did you get me such a n expensive present?” and she said “because you’re my best friend” I said “ahhhh….. Anita you’re my best friend to”
When I told Anita that my dad owns a business, she said it was really cool. I told her that my dad has a show at the Kite festival and I asked her if she can come with me? she said “ maybe, I will have to ask my dad.”
That weekend I asked her if she can come again and she said “I’m going ask my dad real quick. A couple minutes later she said that she can go and I was really excited. When it was two days before the Kite festival I told her that I couldn’t wait and that were going to pick her up.
I woke up on Sunday morning. I said wake up mom it’s time to get ready and pick Anita up. When we were in Anita’s neighborhood we were lost looking for her street. It took about ten minutes to look for her street, when we finally found her street we picked her up and headed off to Zilker Park. By the time we got there, there was no parking so my mom said “next time we need to wake up a little earlier.” And I said “we do.” When we finally arrived we were so happy. After we got there we went to go get our face painted. I got my face painted and it was blue and green my favorite colors.
Chapter 5
Best friends
When it was almost the end of the year me and Anita were hanging out a lot and that meant becoming best friends forever. Both of us just kept making or buying each other presents. For my birthday she made me a picture frame which was green, my favorite color in the world. So since she made me a picture frame I made her a picture frame which was purple, her favorite color.
When we planned our first sleepover for last weekend, we found out that we couldn’t do our sleepover because I was so busy that weekend, so I said lets plan another sleepover.

NOT That Fun Of A Fieldtrip
Yesterday, the whole fifth grade went to the Capitol. This was the fourth time we went to the Capital. I asked all my friends if they were excited to go to the Capitol, and they said “NO!!!!”. When we got started on the tour, the tour guides just told us everything the other tour guides told us, and we already knew about this stuff. After the tour, we went to go visit the the visitor center to go buy suveniers form the gift shop. My friend bought me a cool pen that cost seven dollars. So I have to pay her seven dollars, which I need to get. We all went to go eat lunch on the Capitol grounds after the visitors center. Eating lunch was really fun because, I got to eat outside with my friends and got to feed the birds. After we went to go eat we walked to the Bob Bullock Museum. While we were walking my friends started saying what they thought the people in the cars were saying about us. Like ” oh my gosh, those moms have a lot of kids”. When we got there we went to the Texas music roadtrip. The Texas music roadtrip was really fun, we got to see what music stuff to they used back in the old days. Mrs.Bender was showing us what she used when she was a kid or showing us what they had back then. In about half an hour we had to go leave to go back to school. Another thing that was fun was that we didnt have any work to do at school.

The little blue people I like are tiny and cute. Each one of them has a gift, they are called the Smurfs. My favorite little blue person is named Smurfette. Smurfette is the only girl in the whole family. She was sent from Gargamel to capture all the smurfs, but Papa smurf found her and turned her into a smurf. Gargamel is an evil wizard trying to capture the smurfs to make a potion to turn base matter into gold. He tries to capture them with his cat. Gardening
Today my moms work had a team building day. I went with her, and we went to a school. We made a garden at the school, it turned out really pretty when we were done. One of my moms co-workers brought her daughter and her daughters best friend. Our job was to pull the weeds out, which was REALLY hard. Everyone that had to pull the weeds said I HATE this job, it was mostly me who kept saying that. While we were pulling out weeds we found a poisonous Caterpillar, a grub, and tons of small worms. They were disgusting. When it was really quiet my moms friend said ” so how do you like Jutin Biebers haircut?” and everyone started laughing. My moms friends daughter said ” I love it” then everyone started to laugh again. After we finished pulling out the weeds me, my sister, and the other girls went to go play on the playground,then a couple minutes later her dad came to the park to pick them up. Somewhere around 10 we finished and took pictures. Then we went home.

The WORST/FUN summer ever
Last Summer I went to go visit my family in San Francisco. We had gone to San Francisco for my Great grandmas Funeral. I was so sad when my mom had told me the news. So we had flown to San Fran a couple days later. When we had landed we went to my grandmas house to unpack. After, we unpacked we went to the viewing for my great grandma. A day later it was time for the funeral, when we got to the funeral they started burying her and my family members started to cry when they were burying her. A couple days later my mom and brother left to go back to Texas. My dad stayed to do a show and to take care of us. Sometime around July, my grandpa found out that my uncle had died in his room. When he went upstairs he collapsed on the floor. Since my uncle died my dad had to cancel his show. I had found out that he died when me and my sister had came back home from my cousins house. So when my dad picked me and my sister up he took us to my grandma and grandpas for a gathering called a 9 day prayer. When we got there there was alot of family members I havent seen in a long time. The fun part was when I got to see my younger cousins and got to hang out with them and eat icecream everynight. When me and my family went back to Texas, me and my sister found out that our P.E coach died I was sad becuase she was a really fun teacher. Then I kept hearing my mom talking about how her bosses wife was in the hospital. So my mom got the news that she had died. Ever since then, I had been writing letters to my moms boss saying what he should do to make him not feel alone. And so after all those letters i had been making him feel very happy.
Dogs
I have five dogs, I auctully have four but i still count my dog that had died. Everytime I tell my friends I have five dogs my mom and sister always say no we dont, we have four dogs. All my dogs names are Hyden, Hogan, Auto, and Comet. Our dog that is dead his name is Captain Crunch.
We have had Hyden the longest, we got him in 2009, so now he is four but he is about to turn five in September. We also got Captain Crunch when we got Hyden. We got Auto in 2010 after Captain Crunch had died, he turned 3 last year but we dont know when his birthday is so we just know how old he is at the end of the year. My dad got Hogan for my mom for their anniversary, my mom had to wait till Valentines day till she could get him. My mom would go to Pets Mart to make sure no one would take him.
We had gotten Comet last Year in the summer. We got him in San Francisco from my grandma and grandpa. The first time I saw him, it was when I went in my granparents bathroom to brush my teeth. When I turned on the lights he had scared me. I had asked my dad why a dog was in the the bathroom and he said ” what dog? theres a dog in the bathroom?” and i said “yeah theres a dog”. So my dad went to go ask them why there was a dog, and they said ” because he is scared of the other dogs downstairs”. After that we just left and forgot about it. Before the end of the summer my dad was thinking of takeing him home and so we did. The reason why he was so skinny was because he was the runt of the family, which ment the other dogs wouldnt let him eat or drink =(.

Puberty!!!!!!!!!!! =O
On Thursday every girl in fifth grade had to watch a video of becoming a woman. Everyone was so scared to watch the video. During the video some girls were laughing at the video. After we finished watching the video we had to take a test so the teachers could make sure we had listened to the video. The video talked about how you know your getting puberty, it said you will know when your getting older or when your body is getting bigger. In the video the girls in the video asked if it would hurt? or how much blood would you use? They said it wont hurt and you will lose about 1/2 a cup of blood. After the video the nurse gave us goody bags filled with panty liners and a calender, with coupons to give our parents. before we could leave she gave us homework, our homework was to interview our parents about puberty, in my head I said ” I hope my parents sign no I did not want to participate =O”.
Easter Party
Yesturday I went to an after class on Thursdays called Kardivas. We had an Easter party to go to with different girls from different schools. The Easter party was at the Bee Cave park. To get to the Bee Cave park we had to carpool with one of our friends, so i carpooled with my Best Friend Forever her name was Anita. When we got to the the park we took a group picture with all the girls. When we were paring up in groups i went to go see my old friends form kindergarten and from my old swim team. I was so happy when i got to see them. my friend Anita introduced me to her old friends from last year, they were all very nice to me and she had alot of friends. At the end of the party we got Easter eggs full of candy in them. I was so sad when i had to say goodbye to all of my old friends. =). I hope everyone has a Great Easter and have FUN.
